The infamous ā€œEā€

The "E" in Eband stands for Ellen, the seamstress behind the high-quality work you will find evident in every headband from Ebandshop.

It all started in 2011, with Ellen making Ebands as Christmas gifts for her four daughters, Erica, Leah, Jamie and Marta. As the girls wore the headbands to the gym and around town, people instantly noticed their new accessories and wanted their own.

The wide variety of ribbon patterns and colors fed the excitement of having more Ebands to wear. So the logic follows, if these five ladies and their friends all loved the concept, many others would as well. So, why not make them available to others?

Along with husband & father Steve, the family met and quickly developed a business model that included purchasing a website domain and crunching numbers to determine how to find quality ribbon to make our product. Sample ribbon swatches were displayed in binders and the family enjoyed picking clever names for each of the patterns.

Eventually, we branched out into in-person, local events to expand our customer base beyond friends and family. By 2012, Ebands were being sold in local retail stores and school spiritwear shops. Most recently, we have added a fundraising component to our business, where teams and organizations raise money for their groups by purchasing our products at wholesale.

In 2020, Ebands launched a new website with updated purchasing opportunities and revamped photos.

As long as Ellen enjoys making Ebands, she will continue to embroider her capital "E" trademark on each band. Enjoy!
